Lars graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a degree in Pastoral Ministry in 2002. During his time at OWU, he played baseball for 4 years and served in various leadership positions. After graduating from college, Lars participated in various kinds of ministry for 5 ½ years, including senior pastor, youth pastor, varsity basketball coach, Bible teacher, and high school English teacher. After finishing his time in full-time ministry, Lars worked in banking and taught money management seminars for 3 years.
Lars joined Northwestern in June of 2011 as a financial planner. He has his series 6, 63, and 7 investment licenses, and holds the (Certified Financial Planner) CPF®, (Charter Life Underwriter) CLU®, (Charter Financial Consultant) ChFC®, and (Retirement Income Charter Professional) RICP® professional designations, the (Charter Advisor in Senior Living) CASL®, (Charter Advisor in Philanthropy) CAP®, (Advisor in Estate Planning) AEP®, (Chartered Special Needs Consultant) ChSNC®, and (Wealth Management Certified Professional) WMCP®. He recently completed his (Masters of Science in Financial Plannings) MSFP.
Lars loves helping his clients get clarity around what they love and fear the most, and he collaborates with them to co-create a plan, so that what they love the most will be enhanced and what they fear the most will be mitigated. The strong relationships with his clients are what Lars likes the most about his career!
Lars is married, has four children, has competed in over 20 CrossFit competitions and serves on the board of the Tulsa Estate Planning Forum, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Tulsa, the board for the Forum 400, is on the membership committee for Forum 400, and is active in various ministries and organizations in Tulsa.
